Job Description:
Help with the day-to-day operations of supporting students in the building by positively interacting with them
Collaborate with school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers, restorative justice staff and others.
Help implement clear policies and protocols of the day to day school schedule
Communicate with and maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians
Form caring relationships and model respectful communication and unconditional positive regard for students and families.
Utilize behavior management techniques respectfully and appropriately.
Provide occasional restorative classroom interventions when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preffered
experience working with at-risk youth
Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
Demotrating restorative approach
Strong de-escalation techniques
Experience working in an urban setting, preferred
Experience working with diverse student populations, preferred
excellent teamwork skills
